After seeing Russia loose to Israel on Saturday i knew that England still had a chance of qualifying for the Euro 2008 championships, last night i watched and shouted at the TV in vain as the lack luster England put on another easy to forget performance against Croatia, was it the fault of the coach Steve Mclaren, the weather, the players? Who cares, all i know is next summer for the 2 weeks the Euro 2008 tournament is on i will be watching some passionate and skillful football without the worry of England breaking our hearts again, i might even enjoy it more, just like the World Cup in 1994 where England failed to qualify.

At the end of the day, without major changes, England Football team would have been an embarrassment in the Euro 2008 Championship. At least not even qualifying should result in a few people getting their arses kicked and possible a new manager, if England did qualify it would have been by luck and nothing more than that. Therefore after the bitter disappointment of last nights game, i am slightly glad the team is going to get a shakeup, afterall the Word Cup 2010 qualifiers begin next year.
