Going to Glastonbury 2008
Glastonbury ticket day is always a strange experience, but this year was the strangest yet. I woke up at 7.15am on Sunday to find 2 inches of snow on the ground, i setup 2 phone lines and 2 Internet connections (one on Blueyonder and the other with BT) i was ready for the Glastonbury ticket challenge.
The night before our Glastonbury ticket group had gathered and swapped all our details, the plan was 2 of us would be in one house, another 2 in another house and the final 2 would go into work to use lots of computers and phone lines.
By 9am i was unable to get on to the seetickets server even using the direct link to the webpage, at 9.10 we heard from our friends who had gone into work, they managed to get 4 tickets already. At 9.15am i still had not got on but then got a call from our other group who confirmed they had got through on the internet and purchased our Glastonbury tickets. Brilliant!
I then started feeling a bit sad, even though we had tickets. I decided this was because i was expecting a major challenge to get tickets and it was easy.
The rest of the day was all a bit odd, went to the pub twice and still could not belive the Glastonbury tickets had not sold out.
Anyway a few days on and it has still not sold out, but i really dont care, because everyone i know who wanted tickets now have tickets. Cant wait.
