The internet solves all problems
As with a lot of things in my life, i possess the technical ability to do lots of great stuff, but lack the ideas to make use of these skills. The Internet has given me great skills and knowledge, but it has also removed the need to implement this knowledge. For example, the Internet taught me to program, but as there is a piece of software available to do pretty much everything on the Internet, so i really don’t need to write any programs. The same goes for my electronics skills, i can get a circuit diagram for pretty much anything off the Internet, but i can also get a finished product cheaper than building it my self, this makes me not want to bother spending time building it. Another example is my love for the technical side of web design, SEO (search engine optimization) and getting a site listed high in Google. Unfortunately every idea i come up with for a new website already exists, so my skills go to waste.
Don’t get me wrong i think the Internet is a great tool, but not being someone who can vision great ideas leaves me with all the skills, but no where to use them. This has been frustrating me for the last few years.

Time to increase your social networking then maybe? Both on and offline, if you meet more people, you are likely to come across someone with the vision, but not the the know-how…
I hope you find a useful outlet for your skills, and that your talent is recognised and respected soon
Yeah, unfortunatly most of my friends are in the same possition, all skills no ideas. I might try advertising on somewhere like Digital Planet Forum to find work partners.
