UK Website advertising - Matched.co.uk
I am always on the lookout to make a bit of money from my websites, mainly just to cover running costs and give me a small promotion budget. I have tried being a publisher for quite a few companies such as AdSense, Adbright, Widgetbucks and Commission Junction as well as signing up as direct affiliates to shops that are relevant to my sites content. I am finding that the eBay affiliate from via Commission Junction is my best paying, followed closely by AdSense. I never really gave the other 2 a proper trial as i was not keen on the advertisements. I have now found a new advertising network (currently UK only) that allows publishers to sign up with a maximum of 5 sites. They claim to be able to find advertisers that match your sites content and then you choose whether to advertise them or not. The project is currently in Beta so they only pay £3 per month for the adverts (5 per site, 5 sites per account = £75). As you can run the adverts along AdSense etc then it is simple extra income. I have just signed up and I’m waiting for the offers to roll in. I’ll keep you informed of the progress. Check them out at http://www.matched.co.uk
Update 1: The signup process is simple, fill in your details, confirm your account by email, then you add up to 5 pages per site and 5 sites per account. 2 days later i have had offers for 2 of my sites. This process is simple too, you just decide the advert size and upload the code to your website (supports HTML, PHP and XML). This is checked regularly by a spider and soon you will receive money directly into your UK bank account simple. I will keep you informed of the progress.
Update 2: After exactly 1 month of running the ads i got a payment, unfortunately this was not the correct amount so i email them explaining the situation. They agreed i was right and gave me the choice of either waiting a couple of days and getting the full payment, or getting the lower payment now and the rest in next months. I opted for getting the rest next month as January is usually the lowest income month for me (from other advertising). So far i am seriously impressed with this company.

I’ve signed up, so assuming they accept my sites, thats a little extra heading your way
Cheers for the heads up, just to clarify, you need a UK bank account, rather than being a UK resident, from what I can tell. As I’m a Brit, with a UK account, but living in Kazakhstan, I think I should be OK (I have a UK postal address as well).
Hope your ads start flooding in soon.
Thanks, yeah as far as i can tell you dont necessarily have to be in the UK, but you do need a UK bank account. I assume the adverts are targeted at the UK audience though.
They pay through PayPal also. And I’m signing up.
Wow that’s good news. I do wonder whether they will get more publishers than advertisers though new.
great article, but can u use it together with adsense on the same site?
Yes, i have checked the adsense and matched terms and conditions and it is ok.
I signed up, purely put of interest, but not recevied anything as of yet. I have loads of websites, some of them not doing a great deal, so sounds like they could be used for something like this. Cheers.
I already signed with this program but still am waiting for them to match my site with advertisers ads placement. Still am hopeful that i will be starting my own matched.co.uk campaign on making money…
I signed up with this program also recently, so far I cant speak highly enough of it and the customer support has been great as I was a little daft to begin with.
